Behavioral Health Treatment and Applied Behavioral Analysis

Behavioral Health Treatment (BHT) is an umbrella term Medi-Cal uses to describe benefits for members with autism or autism-like symptoms. This benefit covers services including Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation (CDE), Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA), and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). The BHT benefit is for members under 21 years of age. Members must be medically stable and not have a need for 24-hour medical monitoring.
