COVID-19 Treatments

Some people get medicine to help prevent them from getting very sick from COVID-19. Whether someone can get treatment depends on if they were exposed, what symptoms they have, and how likely they are to get very sick. People at higher risk include infants and toddlers, those who are over 65, pregnant, not vaccinated or not up to date on vaccines, and those who have certain medical conditions.

If you think you could have COVID-19 and are at higher risk of severe illness, talk with your primary care provider (PCP) about treatment options.

Don’t delay! COVID-19 treatment must be started within 5-7 days of when you first have symptoms.

Get no-cost rides to approved health care visits

Medi-Cal and CareAdvantage members who have no other means of transportation to approved healthcare visits can use HPSM’s Ride Benefit at no cost. To schedule rides, call HPSM’s vendor, American Logistics. Call at least two business days before your healthcare appointment. Make sure to have your HPSM member ID card ready.
