Cancer screening tests save lives. Getting screened can help find abnormal cells or cancer at an early stage before symptoms appear. When cancer is found early, it may be easier to treat or cure. Because we want you to stay healthy, HPSM is offering CareAdvantage members Cinemark Prepaid Movie Tickets for getting the cancer screenings they need.
Complete a breast cancer screening and get a Cinemark Prepaid Movie Ticket
- A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast. It is a screening test used to find changes in the breasts, even before a lump can be felt. CareAdvantage members who are due for a mammogram and complete one will get a Cinemark Prepaid Movie Ticket. If you are:
- 40 years old: Ask your primary care provider about your specific risks for breast cancer and when to get your first mammogram.
- 40 to 75 years old: Get a mammogram every one to two years. Contact your primary care provider to see if you are due for a mammogram. If you are due, ask how to schedule the appointment.
Complete a colorectal cancer screening and get a Cinemark Prepaid Movie Ticket
Different screening tests are used to find signs of colorectal cancer. This includes stool tests, a flexible sigmoidoscopy and a colonoscopy. CareAdvantage members who are due for colorectal cancer screening and complete one will get a Cinemark Prepaid Movie Ticket. If you are:
- 45 to 50 years old: Get your first colorectal cancer screening. Ask your primary care provider how often you should get screened and which screening test is right for you.
- 50 to 75 years old: Continue to get screened. Ask your primary care provider how often you should get screened and which screening test is right for you.
Your Cinemark Prepaid Movie Ticket will be shipped to your home address and should arrive within 90 days of your screening. If you do not get it by then, call HPSM’s Health Promotion Unit at 650-616-2165. For Cinemark Prepaid Movie Ticket limits, showtimes and theaters, see the Cinemark website.
