Richard Moore, MD

Interim Chief Medical Officer

Richard J. Moore, MD, has been practicing medicine since 1989, receiving his board certification in internal medicine in 1989 and his certification in geriatric medicine in 1994. After receiving his medical degree at University of Nevada School of Medicine, he completed both his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco.

Dr. Moore started at HPSM as an Associate Medical Director in 2009, advancing to Medical Director in 2016. He is currently on the board of directors and is a past president of the San Mateo County Medical Association. Dr. Moore is on staff at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center. He has served as the medical director of San Francisco Towers, The Peninsula Regent, Senior Focus Adult Day Health Center and L’Chaim Adult Day Health Center.

Dr. Moore’s mission in medicine is maintaining and enhancing the lives of his patients by offering them preventive measures for their health and wellness, as well as encouraging them to be proactive in integrating heart- and brain-healthy habits into their daily lives.
