Good mental health helps you handle stress, get along with others, make smart choices and be your best. So getting mental healthcare when you need it is just as important as seeing your primary care provider (PCP) when you’re sick or injured.
Some people try to make themselves feel better using alcohol and drugs. But substance use is not a solution to mental health problems: it only makes them worse.
To get mental health or substance use support services, call either:
- Your PCP. If you don’t know who your PCP is, log in to the Member Portal and follow the instructions.
- The Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) ACCESS Call Center at 1-800-686-0101.
Ask for support when you notice mood changes that affect your ability to take care of yourself, stay on top of your to-do’s or build healthy relationships. Learn more about mental health.
