San Mateo County ACE Program
Where Can I Get Care?
San Mateo County is the designated service area for the ACE Program. Service area means the geographic area served by the program. The ACE program will cover the costs of your medical care received only at contracted clinics and at San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC). If you need services from a medical professional that is not contracted with an ACE clinic or SMMC, you
need to get a prior authorization from HPSM before receiving services.
Search for a provider
Use the online provider search form to find the latest information for in-network primary care providers (PCP), specialists, pharmacies, clinics or hospitals. This directory is updated weekly. You may need a referral from your PCP before making an appointment with a specialist for non-emergency care. Call your PCP to find out if a referral is required.
Call HPSM’s Nurse Advice Line
Call 1-833-846-8773 anytime, 24 hours a day–7 days a week.
A Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) will give you medical advice when you think you need urgent medical attention but you are not sure. A nurse will ask about your symptoms and tell you:
- If you need to go to Urgent Care.
- If you can wait to see your doctor (within 24 hours, three days or longer).
- How to take care of your symptoms at home.
