Not having a ride shouldn’t keep you from going to your or your child’s approved healthcare visits! HPSM Medi-Cal members with no other form of transportation can use the HPSM Ride Benefit. Get to approved healthcare visits and back home safely at no cost.
Follow these Ride Quick Tips when you book your ride:
18 or older
1. Call American Logistics (AL) at 1-844-856-4389 at least two business days before your or your child's appointment.
2. Be ready with your information:
- Your or your child’s HPSM member ID and your phone number
- Date and time of your or your child’s appointment
- Pickup address and where you’re going
3. If you have a child, bring a car seat or booster if your child needs it. The ride service does not provide them.
4. If you asked for a return ride, call AL right after your visit. A driver will pick you up and drive you home.
Under 18
You can get rides to certain types of services on your own (see page 8). Call HPSM Member Services at 1-800-750-4776 or 650-616-2133 (TTY: call 1-800-735-2929 or 7-1-1). Tell them you need a ride and ask for minor consent services. They will arrange the ride with American Logistics.
Call center hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
