Get ready for your dental visit
1. If you don't have a ride to your dental visit, use your HPSM Ride Benefit.
2. Bring your HPSM member ID card, Medi-Cal BIC and picture ID (if you are 18+) to your visit.
3. At the dentist's office, show your ID cards at the front desk. Then fill out any paperwork you are asked to complete.
During the 30-to-45-minute dental visit:
- The dentist may give you a mouth exam that includes teeth, gums, jaws, bite and whether braces may be needed. They may ask you about your diet.
- You may get x-rays to look for problems.
- The dentist will talk to you about your oral health.
- When you are done, they will schedule your next appointment.
