Regular Exercise Can Be Easy — Start Today!

Exercise is any physical activity that gets your body moving. Regular exercise at any age or fitness level can help you get stronger, reduce stress, improve mood, sleep better and more.

Exploring different types of exercise can be fun! But, make sure to talk to your primary care provider about changes you may want to make to your exercise routines. 

Some of the fun activities you can try with family and friends or on your own include:

  • Walking or biking near your home or in one of San Mateo County’s many beautiful parks.
  • Taking a class or playing a sport. Check your city’s Parks and Recreation Department website for programs at reduced cost for residents.
  • Dancing to the music. Play music at home or look online for free concerts near you.
