Cancer screenings save lives and are critical to keeping your patients healthy. Screening tests help find signs of serious diseases early when they may be easier to treat or cure. 

HPSM is committed to helping our members stay on track with essential screenings. For instance:

• Every quarter, we send reminder letters to CareAdvantage and Medi-Cal members who are due for breast, cervical or colorectal cancer screenings. These letters encourage members to schedule a visit with their healthcare provider to discuss their screening needs. 
• HPSM’s cancer screening member webpage includes information on different types of cancer screenings and cancer screening recommendations. It also encourages members to talk to their primary care provider about which screenings they are due for. 
• We have two screening programs targeting breast and colorectal cancer:

Cancer Screenings Rewards Program

CareAdvantage members who are due for breast or colorectal cancer screenings can receive a Cinemark Prepaid Movie Ticket for each screening completed. This means they can earn two Cinemark Prepaid Movie Tickets at no cost if they are due for and complete both screenings. Eligible members can visit our Cancer Screening Rewards Program webpage to learn more about this program.

Exact Sciences Cologuard^® Pilot Program

Select HPSM members* who are due for colorectal cancer screenings will receive:

• A Cologuard^® colorectal cancer screening kit mailed to their home address. 
• Mailings and other reminders encouraging them to complete the kit.
