We have exciting news: next month, we will be updating eHEALTHsuite with a new look and new features. These updates are designed to support your work in delivering exceptional care to Health Plan of San Mateo (HPSM) members.

Here are some of the key changes we’re making to eHEALTHsuite to support you in filing your CMS-1500 claims forms online:
eHEALTHsuite now has an updated, modern interface that is easy to navigate while retaining the functionality and familiarity of the previous system.
Providers now have a field to add taxonomy codes for the rendering provider type. Providers will be able to search by provider name or taxonomy code. As a reminder, all incoming professional services submitted on a professional claims form must include a taxonomy code as of January 1, 2026!
Ambulance address pickup and dropoff fields have been added per Medi-Cal requirement. Providers can easily document round trip pickup and dropoff locations, or add additional lines for multiple locations.
Here are some other reminders when filing a claim online:
“Box 21” on the CMS-1500 claims form does not accept a decimal, and the claim will deny if a decimal is included. Please enter codes WITHOUT a decimal point (for example, when entering code N18.6, please enter it as N186.)
“ICD ind.” field should ALWAYS be set to 0. No other entry will be accepted.
