How to Get Started with Teladoc

1. Set up your account

You can set up your account in three ways:

2. Schedule an appointment

Both phone and video appointments are available. For video visits, you will need access to a computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection and video camera. If you do not have video access, you can schedule a phone consultation.

Video consults

Available 7am to 9pm, seven days a week.

1. Log into your account on teladoc.com or the Teladoc mobile app
2. Select “Request a Visit”
3. Select “Video Call”
4. Select the day and time for your appointment from the available choices 
   • You can schedule an appointment up to two days in advance; for urgent appointments, doctors usually respond within an hour
5. Briefly explain the reason you want to see a doctor (and upload up to three images as needed)
6. Choose a pharmacy in case the doctor needs to prescribe medication for you
7. Review your information and select “Confirm”

Phone consults

Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

• If you do not have access to a computer, tablet or smartphone, call Teladoc at 1-800-835-2362 to schedule an appointment
  • You can schedule an appointment up to two days in advance; for urgent appointments, doctors usually call within an hour
• The doctor will call you at the scheduled time 

3. Attend your appointment

1. When it is time for your appointment, log into your account on teladoc.com or the Teladoc mobile app 
2. click “Join Waiting Room”
3. The doctor should appear on your screen at the appointed time

Cancel an appointment

• Log into your account on teladoc.com or the Teladoc mobile app
  1. Select “Upcoming Visit”
  2. Select “Cancel Visit”
• To cancel an appointment by phone, call Teladoc at 1-800-835-2362 and tell the representative that you want to cancel your appointment
