Who Can Get the COVID-19 Vaccine Now

San Mateo County Health oversees the County’s COVID-19 Vaccination Program following guidelines from the State of California

Anyone 12 years or older is now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine

  • Adults 18 or older can get the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine
  • Children 12 to 17 years old can only get the Pfizer vaccine
    • Children need consent from a parent or guardian to get the vaccine
    • A parent or guardian should go with their child when they get the vaccine

Undocumented immigrants are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine 

Make a vaccination appointment 

  • Pharmacies such as Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid now offer walk-in vaccination appointments
