HealthWorx is available to three specific groups of adults only:

• Certain Extra Help employees employed by San Mateo County

HealthWorx benefits cover the following services:

Dental and vision benefits are covered through the SEIU for IHHS workers only.

HealthWorx Premiums and Co-payments

A premium is a monthly contribution HealthWorx members are required to pay to their employer to keep their health coverage. Co-pays are payments for services made directly to doctors, pharmacies, and hospitals.

San Mateo County Extra Help

San Mateo County uses a bi-weekly (every two weeks) payroll deduction to collect the monthly premium from Extra Help employees.

In-Home Supportive Services (IHHS) Workers

The San Mateo County Public Authority arranges payment of premium contribution through a payroll deduction.

Dental and vision benefits are covered through the SEIU for IHHS workers only
