San Mateo Access and Care for Everyone (ACE) Program

The San Mateo ACE Program is a county-sponsored program that provides health care coverage to low-income adult residents of San Mateo County who meet eligibility requirements. HPSM administers the San Mateo ACE Program under a contract with San Mateo County.

Effective January 1, 2009, the San Mateo ACE Program includes participants of both the San Mateo County’s Coverage Initiative, as well as the program formerly known as the Wellness-Education-Low-Cost-Linkages (WELL) Program. The consolidation of both programs under the San Mateo ACE Program enables HPSM to provide uniform administration of the County’s indigent health care coverage programs. Approximately 12,000 to 15,000 participants are expected to be enrolled in the program.
