If your card is yellow, and says "HealthWorx" across the top right-hand corner, you are a HealthWorx Member.
HealthWorx is a special program available to three groups of adults only:
- Certain Extra Help employees employed by San Mateo County
- In-home Supportive Services (IHSS) workers employed by the San Mateo County Public Authority
- Certain part-time employees employed by the City of San Mateo
If your card is orange, and says "Healthy Families" across the top right-hand corner, you are a Healthy Families member.
Healthy Families is a state health insurance program for children and teens from birth to age 19. Legal residency is required.

If your card is green, and says "Healthy Kids" across the top right-hand corner, you are a Healthy Kids member. Healthy Kids is a
San Mateo County health coverage program for children and teens from birth to age 19, regardless of immigration status.

If your card is blue, and says "Medi-Cal" across the top right-hand corner, you are a Medi-Cal Member.
Medi-Cal is California’s Medicaid program for low-income individuals and families with limited resources.
HPSM is the sole administrator of Medi-Cal benefits to San Mateo County. With HPSM, you get personalized attention for your health care needs.
If your card is white, and says "San Mateo ACE" across the top right-hand corner, you are an ACE Member. ACE stands for Access
and Care for Everyone. It is a program unique to San Mateo County, and covers adults age 21 through 64 who are not eligible for
other state and federal insurance programs.
If your card is purple and says "San Mateo County MCE" across the top right-hand corner, you are a member of the San Mateo County
Medicaid Coverage Expansion (MCE) Program. The San Mateo County MCE program is a “bridge” program created by the State of California
and the Federal Government for adults age 21 through 64 who are expected to qualify for expanded Medicaid benefits in 2014, under the
new federal health reform law.
