ACE Program
Covered Benefits
The San Mateo ACE Program provides access to a wide range of benefits, including but not limited to:
- Outpatient services
- Inpatient hospital services
- Ancillary care services
|
- Durable medical equipment
- Orthotics and prosthetics
- Prescription drugs
|
Emergency services are limited to services provided at the San Mateo Medical Center. Emergency services delivered by any other provider will not be covered.
These benefits are subject to medical necessity determinations, and certain limitations and exclusions apply. For a complete list of covered benefits, exclusions, and limitations, please see the San Mateo ACE Participant Handbook.
In addition, because the San Mateo ACE Program is considered a payer of last resort, several services are excluded due to the existence of other coverage programs such as Medi-Cal, Family PACT, the California Cancer Detection Program, the Breast and Cervical Cancer Treatment Program (BCCTP), and the IMPACT program. More information about these programs is also available in the San Mateo ACE Participant Handbook..
